Both of the girls participated in gymnastics at some point during this school year. Sidney opted to take a break from the sport this spring, knowing that meant she wouldn't get to participate in the spring meet. She was all fine with this decision during the practice part of the session, but boy was she upset when she saw the trophies lined up for Regan's spring meet. Then (and only then), did she wish she had taken lessons during spring session.
But instead, she sat (maybe not very patiently) and watched Regan do her magic on the beam, bars and floor.
This session, Regan is in the intermediate level and it's been challenging for her. In all honesty, it may not be her sport. While she enjoys the lessons (for the most part), she's not real eager to practice or work hard on the moves. That's not to say we don't love watching her work each week in practice.
After the tally of all the scores, she landed in 3rd place and was pretty excited to be on the podium. We are so very proud of her and encourage her to participate in whatever sport she desires, although she admits that next year she probably won't be doing gymnastics.
She had a pretty awesome cheering section!
Way to go Regan! We are so proud of you!
