Fun at the park

Dinner on the patio; Regan's absolute favorite!

Aren't they precious?

We've been doing a lot of nothing and tons of everything these days. Sidney's getting bigger and bigger by the minute (we knew it would happen at some point!) and loves to pull herself up on things, talk and snuggle. She's getting her 5th tooth, just a little piece of it is showing its ugly head, and it's making her miserable. Regan continues to make us laugh everyday. She talks non-stop and someday that will make her very successful, but for now, it's a little exhausting! She loves to challenge our patience but at the same time can be a very sweet 3 year old. As for the rest, well, our fall goal is to sell our home! If all goes as planned, it should be posted online early this week. Anyone interested?!

Go Go Go!

As I cleaned tonight, Sidney went round and round in her exersaucer. Just as she gets good and fast, we have to put it in storage. It's one of the big toys that our realtor told has had to go :( Poor Sidney.

Go Grandma Jan!!

I know this blog is about the girls, but I'm posting a little note about Grandma Jan today. We all know she's in love with golf; next to spending time with the girls, it's her favorite thing on the face of this earth. Well, yesterday while on the course with some girl-friends, Grandma Jan got a hole in one!!! What an amazing accomplishment; we're so proud of you!!!

Chest hair?

I gave Sidney shredded cheese at dinner last night; yes it was messy and most of it ended up in her high chair, but she loved it! We laughed so hard at the cheese stuck to her chest; it looked like chest hair!

Lake Harriet!

We took the girls to Lake Harriet tonight to see the ducks, hear some music, enjoy some ice cream and take a trolley ride! It was loads of fun...and no, I didn't let Ryan touch my camera when we were near the lake!
The girls had a great time, it was hard to tell what they enjoyed most: the trolley or the ice cream! We even saw a muskrat in the water; he was chasing all the ducks away...kinda funny!

Chasing

Finally, Sidney and Regan understand the idea of chasing using the exersaucer! Unfortunately, Regan got a little carried away this afternoon...

A new tub!

As our bathtub is being refinished, I opted to bathe Sidney in the kitchen sink! After all, our parents did it when we were growing up :) I thought she would freak out, my drama queen, but in fact, she sat calmly and enjoyed her little tub.

Mama's helpers!

I took a picture of Sidney in the clothes basket and of course, Regan needed a picture of her in the basket too :) Regan is actually a really good helper when it comes to folding clothes, she can fold wash cloths and towels better than anyone! Sidney, on the other hand, is really good at messing up everyone's work :) Aren't they sweet!

sucker!

This is actually an "I LOVE this sucker" face! Might be a little hard to tell though; guess it was slightly sugary.

Sports day!

The babies were playing with sports gear today at school; Sidney didn't like this hat so much (then again, she doesn't like hats in general), but she thought the balls were fun!

High up to the sky!

This is Regan's favorite thing for dad to do with her. As long as she keeps her hips locked, she can really get high up in the air. Did I mention it's quite a work out for dad to lift her multiple times like this! PS, he doesn't throw her, he just lifts her and holds her up until his arms start to fall off!

Sunday evening stroll

We took the girls on a bike ride / roller blade this evening (my bike needs a major tune up so I did the roller blading). The girls had a great time and Regan went nuts everytime I'd come up along side her and make silly faces through her window :) Of course we had to stop at a park half-way through the ride for a little break.
I wonder how sore we both will be tomorrow! Ryan hasn't been on a bike in a LONG time and I haven't used my roller blades in years (pregnancy prevents that one!).

New Ulm

We spent Saturday night in New Ulm and had a busy day of activities! First we headed to a park with a wagon ride, then off to celebrate Sidney's Godparents birthday in Essig and back to their place for cake/ice cream! Sunday I took the girls to church while Ryan went golfing and then Regan and my mom met up on the golf course with the boys :) We went out for lunch at Lamplighter and Sidney got her first taste of chocolate pudding...her eyes got as big as tennis balls with that first bite; she loved it!

Stuck!

Regan wanted to play with Sidney's toy....

Concert in the park

Tonight we headed to Augsburg park for their Thursday night concert in the park. Regan headed straight to the playground and said "I can hear the music, I don't need to see it"!! Stinker. Sidney preferred to dance to the music but stopped over at the swings to hang out with Regan for a little. Unfortunately, our night was cut short because Regan had to pee and there was no way she was getting into the biff; her exact words were "it REEKS!" Hilarious :)

Make up!?

Regan found her lip gloss!!!! YIKES. She got mad that I took this picture because she knew she had the gloss on her cheeks and it wasn't supposed to be there. She insisted we wipe it off so it was only on her lips.....much too soon for our little girl to know about make up!

Water Days for the babies!

Every Tuesday is water day at school for Regan's class. This week, we got an email saying that the babies wanted a water day and to please bring in swimsuits! Sidney apparently had a blast during water day (although it was too cold to be done outside so they filled small tubs to be used inside!). I can tell Tracy is working today because Sidney has a mohawk of course!

So tired

Sidney was absolutely worn out tonight. She didn't get much of an afternoon nap at school and then skipped her evening cat nap so by 8:30, she passed out on the spare bed with Ryan trying to play with her! Poor thing, we practically had to force feed the last bottle to her....I sure hope we aren't up at 3am!

So similar, yet so different :)

Busy morning!

Already this morning we've baked chocolate chip cookies, gone for a bike ride to a park and had a picnic! Whew, I hope they nap well this afternoon :)
Regan loves the bike trailer even more now that she has a friend to ride along. I always said she should've been a twin! Sidney did great too though was getting hungry on our way home.
Chocolate chip cookies for everyone!

Our picnic in the back yard. Regan doesn't care where the picnic is located, she just loves to have them. Clean up is a breeze so I enjoy them too!

Como!

After last weekend's failed attempt at Como, we braved it again today and were successful! Regan had a great time going on rides and seeing the animals :) We only saw a few animals because it was closing time for them, but she didn't seem to mind when she realized the park/ride area stayed open longer! Sidney had fun watching her and the other kids on all the rides. Both girls were beat by the time we got home and went peacefully to sleep.

Cheesy grins!

Not so sure about this ride at first.

Swings were by far her favorite, she rode them 3 times!

Sidney's new trick

is more like an annoying mess!

Look who's crawling!!!!

Ash, these are just for you. They didn't turn out as cool as I would've liked them, apparently yellow is a tough one with the girls' skin tone and hair color.

10 months old!

Sidney is 10 months old today! She's finally starting to crawl, though it's nothing fast and she still prefers to walk around holding someone's hand. She sleeps in her pack n play or crib at all times now and she loves to eat anything we are eating! Her favorite things to do are scream loudly, babble, dance, watch and play with Regan and take a bath (preferably with Regan). I haven't weighed her today but I'm thinking she's around 18 lbs. She still wears her 6 month clothes, although her 9 month clothes are all starting to fit now which is a good thing considering all the summer clothes she has in her closet!

Car wash

Regan used to be so scared of the car wash, now she loves them! I have to say it's bad when your 3 yr old tells you that your car needs to be washed, and she's right!

My lillies!

are in full bloom!

I'm perfecting my skill....although it's not quite perfect yet.

Naughty girls!

We went to Red Lobster tonight for dinner with Grandma Jan and Papa. I came out of the bathroom to find these three naughty girls with Sidney's hand in the lobster tank!! Grandma was getting concerned that we were going to get kicked out of the resturant, although that didn't seem to make her stop Sidney from dipping her hand in the tank!
