Streetcar Ride

Each summer we head down to Lake Harriet not only to take in the sights and sounds that this beautiful gem has to offer, but also to experience the Streetcar. And each ride, we learn something new from the volunteers as they educate us about when people actually used them for transportation so many years ago. This ride, they explained all about the "bells and whistles" and how they use them to communicate with each other as the car could be filled with over 80 people and screaming/yelling wouldn't be effective. Pretty interesting stuff.
This ride was Lincoln's first ride, and I think he LOVED it! As we waited, I took some pictures of him looking up and down the tracks for the "train". He's a boy in every aspect of the word.

Once aboard, he was all smiles as we chug-a-chug-a'd along the tracks. Each time, the girls seem to enjoy it just as much as their first ride, and I think Lincoln will follow suit.
Here's to making memories!
