On being 7: Sidney

Our big (middle) girl had her official 7 year visit with the doctor today and aced it all with flying colors. She shall remain true to Ryan's nickname for her-"scrawn"; but healthy nonetheless. Our only true concern is that she's taken a liking to a semi-vegetarian diet. She'll still eat meat, but not always, and can go days between a meal with meat. So we'll try some vitamins and hope this phase passes.

She's learning and enjoying being a first grader. She takes homework seriously and feels proud to have assignments. I love her teacher for giving us a whole weeks worth of homework at a time and letting us complete it when it works best for our family. That really is awesome! Today she came home with this little project that had been done about a book they read in class. Her "brave" spelling is delightful and looks perfect to me!
