Regan has been practicing for a few weeks in anticipation of walking/dancing in the local Heritage Days Parade last weekend. She did a wonderful job (though looks a bit stunned in the photo below to see us). We are so proud of her, especially because the night prior to the parade, she cried in fear that she didn't know the routines well enough. Oh the things a tired little girl will worry about :)
This year, we didn't have birthday parties or specialty clinics (like last year) to race off to and were able to actually enjoy the festival for a few hours. With some carnival food in our bellies, we checked out the bouncy houses, face painting, pony rides and more!
Both of the girls were excited to take a turn on the trampoline fun! Way up high they went, and bounced to their hearts content. Sidney looked a wee bit scared, and Regan did too as she did some backward rolls mid-air, but both of them claimed they were having the time of their lives!
They were so looking forward to these pony rides and could hardly contain themselves! For days on end they asked when they would get to ride a pony. It's not everyday you get to take a ride a top a cute pony in the middle of the city!
And what's a festival without a bunch of fire trucks around for tour!? They climbed in the back seat first, listened to all the firemen had to teach them. Then while Ryan was busy chatting it up with him about the Hofbrahaus (another story), they climbed in the front and it was make-believe time as they raced around town saving lives!
We had a great time, hanging out in a great community with some great friends!
