It's been real cold lately; so much so that I cannot even remember the last time I took the girls outside to play. So when the temps hit 34 today, it was about time we headed outside to burn off some energy.
Regan had fun pushing Sidney in the sled and finding snow mounds to "pose". What's with her little poses these days??!
Sidney preferred to be in the sled, maybe because anytime she'd step into the snow she got stuck. I ended up picking her up and carrying her from location to location and just plopping her in the snow.
The snow is too fluffy to make a snowman, so Regan opted to build penguins on the patio set instead. She got pretty creative, mixing the snowman accessories with the penguin get-up.
Sidney opted to snack on snow versus creating a penguin. She was in her glory for a very long time, looking up every once in a while to remind me that she was "eatin' snow!". Thanks dear, at least it wasn't yellow snow.
I was shocked at how this break in our day made the day seem to go so much faster! I forgot how much time we normally spend outside in the warmer months. The plan tomorrow is to head to a local sledding hill...first time either of them will go down a real hill on a sled!
(and yes, those Christmas figurines are still in our front yard.
Not by choice, they are frozen into the ground!!)
