15: Sidney is driving!

 YIKES!!

Our sweet Sidney turned 15 just after school started this year, and quickly proceeded to take (and at first fail) her permit test. We officially have another permit driver! As she keeps saying "I'm permitted".

Let's back up a second, prior to taking her permit test, she had to turn 15. Which fell on a weekend, and lucky for her, a tournament weekend. Not just any tournament, and out of town tournament. Nothing like waking up in a hotel on your birthday :) We celebrated, albeit briefly, and ran back to the fields for more games and some cookies and songs from her teammates.

She got the surprise of her teenage life with concert tickets to David Kushner happening later in September. She was completely surprised, thinking her mom had dropped the ball months prior when I told her I didn't get tickets. Oh boy was she happy, even shed a couple tears of joy! And then, taking her to that concert was the best night of her life. She had so much fun in the small Varsity Theater near the U of M, singing all of the songs with a bunch of 20-something college students. After the concert we waited in a ridiculously long line to get some over-priced merch. Smiling ear to ear we walked out of the venue, only to run right into the Opening Act singer who politely paused so she could grab a picture. This will long be a birthday to remember! Experiences are, by far, the best gifts.

Happy birthday Sidney!
