Pool parties

Every week, I watch as we transform our house from a quiet home for the 4 of us, to a house that is about to be taken over by kids/adults and yes, sometimes even dogs. Did I mention we do this every week? Yes, our social calendar is filled to the brim. But we really wouldn't want it any other way. The girls are so accustomed to entertaining (i.e. sharing their toys) that every night I am asked "who is coming tomorrow?". Today was a big one for us. We hosted a few of my friends from college and actually had more kids in the pool at one time than we've ever seen. There were 7 kids, ages 1-5 years old. Needless to say, we were a busy group of parents!

Colten, Sidney and Lucy played pool side for a bit while taking a break from being in the water.
Ryan got a new squirt gun. The thing HURTS when it hits you directly, even he admits this (I've been able to snatch it from him and like my dad always says "paybacks are a bitch!"). The older kids loved being squirted though and thought they were so funny hiding behind the kick boards.
Nathan and Regan played their hearts out; swimming for 5 hours straight! It was difficult to get them out of the pool, and we only did so by promising Nathan to have him back again real soon! He showed Regan how to jump off the board with just her life jacket, something she's been too nervous to do before today. Click HERE to watch the video.
Enough of the "say cheese" smiles, the kids wanted to do a silly face picture!
Thanks for a super fun day ladies!! I'm just sad we didn't get a picture of us grown-ups too!
