Monday afternoon a call came into mom's office from Alyson....Regan had fallen down a couple of stairs. Here's the full story as relayed by Alyson : Another boy (11 months old too) was playing with a "play" rolling pin from the kitchen set. Regan decided she wanted it so there was a bit of a chase back and forth between the two. He then set off towards the stairs where Alyson was sitting. She thought the two had finally lost interest in their little "game", but Regan came out with a surprise. Regan bolted towards the other little boy and up two stairs in an effort to get the rolling pin (for whatever reason, the gate wasn't on the stairs). She grabbed the pin from him and quickly turned around for her big "getaway", only to see she was on the second step and therefore, fell to the floor, smack onto her face. She made two pouty sounds, realized she had the pin in her hands and never even shed a tear. I guess she saw victory and it was well worth the fall down the stairs! Unfortunately, she's now left with a big rug burn on the tip of her nose and it looks like a big old birth mark. Once mom arrived at daycare later that afternoon, the rolling pin had been put in the "not to play with" bin for the rest of the day! Alyson got it out to see what Regan's reaction would be....now here's the funny part; she took it from Alyson and almost automatically waved it in the other little boy's face all the while laughing!! It was as if she was saying "ha, ha, I still got the pin!" We all laughed at her little attitude shining through!
As you can see from the picture, she's her happy self and no harm done, not even to her ego! But the gate on the stairs is up permanently now at daycare (I hope!).

Big girl!
This picture makes Regan look so grown up! It's hard to believe she's going to be one in just a matter of weeks; seems like only a short while ago we were in the hospital about to deliver.
Here we are, 11 months later and still learning new things about having a baby in the house! Lately we've been trying to transition her off baby food and onto real food....here's how it's going: she hates pears, peaches, green beans, carrots and peas; and LOVES (are you ready for this) pizza and gelato (aka: ice cream), but can you blame her? We think she takes after her mom!!

11 months old today
In just one month, Regan will be one year old! We can't believe how fast this first year has gone; we now understand the phrase"they grow up so quickly". She has accomplished a lot in the last month and continues to perfect her walking skills. Unfortunately, that means taking a few spills and although she doesn't get seriously hurt, her ego does. We've got quite the drama queen on our hands...I wonder where she gets that from? She loves to "tell" stories and talks our ears off all day long...again, I wonder where she gets that from? So far it's 'baby language', but it's still fun to hear her talk! She spoke her third word this weekend "up" and uses it in context too!

New smiles!
First "up-do"
We managed to get Regan's first up-do to stay in her hair long enough for a picture, but that was about it. Less than a minute later, the band slid slowly out of her hair. Unfortunately, her hair is getting so long that some mornings she wakes up with quite the look and nothing seems to tame it down! O well, I'm sure it won't be long before we're putting it in pony tails!

BUSTED!
Regan learned to unravel the toilet paper this weekend and just as she thought no one was looking, around the corner peeked mom and dad! Of course, she smiled for the camera before responding with a pout to mom and dad saying "no no". She was too funny, which made it difficult to scold her with a straight face.
New piano!
