This 4th of July was like those in previous years, where we are joined by all of the grandparents and enjoyed some fun, food and fireworks! Grandma Sheri and I once again took the girls to the wonderful nearby parade where we couldn't drink enough water to stay hydrated. It sure was HOT sitting in the sun.
From there, Ryan and Sheri got to watch today's Twins games from right behind home plate. Lucky! After a quick rest time/nap time for the girls, they helped me get together some festive food. Regan had a great time dipping strawberries in white chocolate and then blue sprinkles. She cried when she only got to eat 4 of them; wishing there were more for her to eat!
Sidney's job was to drop the blueberries on the traditional flag cake. She did an exceptionally good job, but preferred to dip her finger into the cool whip and then announce "I need to wick my finger now".
Once all the grandparents arrived, it was into the pool for everyone!!
And Ryan gave us a good show in the driveway with his fireworks. I had more fun watching him jump out of the way at the unexpected POP or BANG!
Wishing you and your family a very Happy 4th of July!

That's one dang good tattoo on Sid! Clings to her through baths and several days spent swimming!
