After many many weekends of rain, we welcomed today's sunshine and heat with open arms. Our day was busy to say the least, but not in the "running-around-chaos-of-life" busy; just in the excitement of sticking close to home. It's the kind of day we live for around here! Before 10am, the girls were begging to jump into the pool. So in we went and didn't retreat to the indoors (except Sid who needed a 3 hour nap), until after 6pm tonight. Needless to say, all of us were exhausted. Even "Pampa" was wiped out, then again, we put him to work installing gas lines for our new pool heater before he was able to jump in and cool off. Onto some photos:
Our big girl had a BIG day! With some encouragement from Grandma Sheri, she yanked out her own tooth this afternoon! Yep, just one tug and out in came!! It was her second tooth to come in (at just 7 months old), but her first tooth to lose. The girls went to bed completely apprehensive of the Tooth Fairy's arrival this evening. Mom and dad weren't sure how to approach that one. They've never been scared of Santa...so why the Tooth Fairy?
Baby went swimming too. She's hilarious to watch as she even moves her head from side-to-side. The girls just love to play with baby "Sandra" in the pool. Even tossed her down the slide a few times. Poor thing!
It took a few hours, but Sidney remembered that she is able to swim without my help and finally was brave enough to do so. You can tell, she's pretty proud of herself! Click HERE to see a video of her swimming.
Oh warm and sunny weather, where have you been! We've missed you and hope you stick around!
