Friday night was the perfect night to take Regan to the Parade of Lights in New Ulm. The weather was perfect and Grandma Jan and Papa were more than excited to babysit Sidney for an hour. Regan was mesmerized by all the lights and kept saying "next time I'm going to ride on that one". Daddy said maybe we can convince aunt Vicky to have a float in next year's parade advertising her salon, Regan sure hopes so!
We took the girls to see Santa tonight and Regan was pretty fearful. We tried all the tricks we could think of but this is as close as she'd get to him. At least she's not screaming and crying! She knew exactly what she wanted to tell him to bring: a computer and some clothes, and maybe some toys! 
Ryan has been calling Sidney "doubles" for a while now and this picture shows why....her big double chin! But isn't it cute?! We have a similar picture of Regan that he's asked me to track down and put side by side.
Sidney has been practicing sitting up and she really likes the view of her world that way. We think she really likes watching whatever Regan is doing....we will soon have double the trouble! 
Look at that precious smile! We knew if we were patient, we'd catch it on camera soon enough :) It's so much fun to get her smiling and see those gums. Today, for the first time, she fell asleep in the swing....this is huge as she has historically needed to fall asleep in my arms (usually while I do squats). The best part, is that this morning after falling asleep in the swing, she slept for nearly 2 hours in the swing! Eventually we'll make it to sleeping in her crib; baby steps!
but no!!!! I'm not ready. I wish I was as enthusiastic as Regan is about the snow we woke up to this morning. She couldn't wait to get outside, good thing I bought boots for her yesterday! I was a little worried with what to do with Sidney while we were busy making snowmen and having snow ball fights, but she seemed pretty content sleeping in her carseat.
Sidney now fits into some of her 0-3 month clothes and it's opening up a whole new wardrobe of her own clothes instead of hand-me-downs. She likes laying on her changing pad so we spend lots of time there; if I remember right, Regan liked that too.
I was starting to notice that all of Regan's pants, including jammies were getting a little short so we checked her height and she's grown 1.5 inches in 2 months!! That's a lot of growing. Her weight has stayed exactly the same since February...we're starting to call her our "skinny minnie"!
Sidney now likes to look at the mobile on her swing and today mom caught her having a conversation with the fish, along with some precious smiles!
It was the perfect night for Regan's first trick or treating experience. With temps in the upper 50's, she and the neighbor kids had a blast running from door to door getting their treats. The expression on her face after getting her first piece of candy was just priceless, she ran back to me and opened her bag to show me her sole piece of candy sitting in her bag. As you can see, she ended up with more candy than any two year old should ever have! Sidney took part in the experience as well, though spent her time snoozing in the stroller :) 
Sidney is finally starting to appreciate all of the baby gear we have setting around the house for her. She enjoys looking at the mobile on her swing (though doesn't yet like to actually swing in the swing) and the Einstein playmat is a favorite, especially when big sister Regan lays down next to her! We're making progress!
Sidney has just started smiling and catching it on camera has not been an easy task; this is as close as I can get right now.
Our precious little one was baptized on Sunday surrounded by lots of family. She did great and only fussed towards the end of the water being poured over her entire body!
We took the girls to an indoor Halloween Party with some friends and Regan loved every minute of it! She's so excited to go trick-or-treating again!
Sidney is 6 weeks old and hopefully turning into a happier baby! Today she's been smiling more and even doing some "talking". The poor girl continues to spit up constantly and it comes out of her nose too-icky. We know that can't feel good to her but the doctor just says "it's all connected" and not to worry. She's a lot like her sister in that she fights hard to stay awake, even when she's extremly tired and can barely keep her eyes open. We've learned to keep her happy in those crabby times: do squats. Unfortunately, no one can do them all day long without falling over, but mom has been known to try! 
It was yet another beautiful fall day! We're gearing up for Halloween and had Sidney in her pumpkin sleeper this afternoon; everyone loves looking at her cute pumpkin butt :)
