Weddings!
Mom, dad and Regan had a busy weekend with a birthday party, two weddings and a graduation party. Let's just say by Sunday evening, we were all exhausted! Regan looked pretty cute on Saturday with her pretty dress on. Unfortunately she wasn't able to make it through the dance (or at least stay awake for it); she fell asleep in mom's arms as we danced to the music! She's got 4 more weddings this year so by the end she'll be a pro at staying awake until the dance starts!Sunday, May 27, 2007
Happy Birthday Daddy!

We helped daddy celebrate his birthday this weekend with a trip to the park. Fortunately the park is only 2 blocks away....or unfortunately! Seems like we go there often lately. But as you can see, Regan loves it! Her favorite is the big slide, the one she needs mom or dad's help to go down! She just giggles when we get to the bottom, it's so cute! The other slides she manages to go down by herself (even those 6 feet off the ground!). Our fearless child :) Daddy's birthday seemed to be a good one! He started off the morning by sleeping in till 8am and once awake, the first word he heard was an energetic "daddy" from Regan! Next was a homemade omelet from mom and Caribou coffee; lucky guy :) Despite no formal "honey-do" list from mommy, daddy decided on his own to spend all afternoon washing vehicles. But he wasn't without help, Regan tried her best to 'help' out. And for dinner, daddy took us out to Olive Garden. Unfortunately, we think Regan is getting another tooth and she wasn't much up for sitting quietly during dinner, but we managed to eat our meals quickly and head home where she was much happier, drooling all the while! Happy Birthday Daddy!

I didn't do it...
This face is precious! Of course, she did do it, but what did she do? After daddy's 31st birthday celebration, he was giving Regan a snack (dried fruit). It was late for the both of them and while daddy walked away for just a second, Regan took the whole bag and brought it up to her mouth. And yes, the entire bag of dried fruit landed on the floor; well, not the entire bag, some of it was on her shirt! Opps. We can't blame it entirely on her considering daddy left the bag open and accessible (you can see in the background who had to clean up, he he he!).Thursday, May 24, 2007

Once a pot of flowers, now a nest for bunnies
Contrary to the hope of daddy, mommy couldn't handle the thought of destroying these cute little bunnies. Unfortunately, mommy is now the enemy to all the neighbors too, who are on daddy's side. Too late now, their eyes have finally opened and they should be gone in the next few days! Gone, but not far, is the claim of all the neighbors. Yea well, I'll be upset when they start eating my flowers, but I still can't think of "getting rid of them".
BIG news!
Regan turned 15 months old yesterday, and officially moved into her own room! I know, I know, yes, she has been sleeping in our bedroom for the last 15 months, but it worked for us and so we did it that way. We all moved onto the main level of our 1 1/2 story home thanks to Uncle Shane and daddy moving the king bed down the stairs (that was a sight!). Good news for the grandparents, the master bedroom is now the spare bedroom, bathroom included! Aren't you lucky :)
Unfortunately, Regan didn't sleep so well in her new room, but she managed to stay in her crib all night and mommy/daddy never had to help calm her down. It might take a while until we all sleep through the night, but we're up for the challenge!

Happy Mommy's day!

What a great weekend for Mother's day! The weather was beautiful and we enjoyed a lot of outdoor time! Sunday morning, mommy went to Wagner's and spent loads of money on flowers and after Regan's morning nap, we all helped plant the flowers; as you can tell, Regan enjoyed smelling each and every flower! Later in the day, mommy and Regan walked to the park where our fearless child, set out to break new records! Have you ever known a 15 month old to go down a big slide all by herself? Well, meet Regan :) After an afternoon nap, our day started to get interesting. Mom wants to have dinner at Red Savoy's in St. Paul, so after a 25 minute drive, we had to wait 45 minutes for our pizza. Not a big deal, their pizza is worth it. Unfortunately, the pizza came to our table burnt!! Can you believe that? After tearing through a bite or two, we decided it wasn't worth it and asked to leave. By then, Regan was getting antsy, so as dad waited for our new pizza (management offered another one), Regan and mom headed outside to run. Regan proceeded to fall down outside, knocking over someone's left-over, cold coffee and spilling it on herself and mom-ick. Now we smell like burnt pizza and coffee. Finally, dad comes out and we drive home, where it's straight into the tub for Regan. She was in her glory playing around in the tub, so mom left her in---maybe a little too long. Next thing we know, there's some "logs" floating around in the tub!! Double ick! Dad rushes in to help and we have to start the bath over. As mom is cleaning the tub, her hand slips off the shower spout which ends up facing OUT of the tub dousing mom and the entire bathroom in water!! Good grief!
HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY!!!

A visit to Great-Grandma's house

Mom and Regan drove to New Ulm this weekend to say good bye to Great-Grandma's house; it will be our last visit there as the house is sold and the auction has ended. We will all miss great-grandma, and I'm sad to know that Regan will never get to experience her home-made jams and pies made with fruits from the garden and apple trees. It was a sad day, but watching Regan laugh and smile as she ran around the yard helped lift everyone's spirit.Sunday, April 29, 2007

Alfalfa take 2

Poor Regan has such fine hair that our only resort is to style it with shampoo and take a picture before it flops to the side :) Her little curls in the back are sure cute and I'm so tempted to stick some mouse in them to make them last longer!! I think I'm getting a little ahead of myself though, so for now, we'll enjoy them after her bath and know that they go away once her head hits the mattress.
Fun in the sun!
Regan is loving the warm weather!! She enjoys playing outside in anything she can get her little hands into. This tricycle is one of her favorites to scoot around on. She doesn't quite get the concept though, she more or less just pushes it, not realizing that she could sit and rest in between. Unfortunately, the new neighbors down the block have a little one as well and Regan really wants to trample across the next door neighbors yard to get into their yard and play with the new guy.....for those of you who know our neighbor, know how much he would appreciate her tracking across his yard! Maybe we'll get a fence up one of these days?!Wednesday, April 18, 2007
"cickle, cickle, cickle"
My apologies for the not so great picture; she didn't want to sit still for a photo, so this had to do!

A new swing!!
This weekend while playing outside, Regan took dad for a "walk" down the alley and over to the neighbors where two little boys were playing in the yard (thankfully we know these neighbors!). As their mom was looking for a toy for Regan to play with, she came across this swing in their garage and offered Regan to use it this summer as her boys are too big for it now. Regan is in her glory sitting in this faded swing hanging from a tree in our front yard. We were hesitant in even taking it, considering we only have one tree big enough to hold it up. We've managed to find a branch where it sits nicely and Regan won't hit her head while swinging! She loves it!
14 months old!!
She weighs roughly what she did at 12 months (22 lbs) but is growing like a weed. She loves to walk, talk and laugh. Dancing is a favorite past time, as is playing outside and going for bike rides tucked in the Burley Bike trailer! We introducted whole milk at 11 1/2 months and that went over poorly. After trying 2% for a couple of weeks, we moved onto soy. Well, yesterday, she FINALLY made the sign for milk instead of water; we've turned the corner! Our toddler now likes milk!
All grown up!

I love ice cream!
Happy Easter!

We hope everyone had a wonderful Easter! We spent our day at home with both sets of grandparents and Uncle Shane and Aunt Amy. Although it was a rocky start, Regan decided her breakfast wasn't suitable and left most of it on daddy's shirt after she had ate it (you get the picture), she managed to feel better after a morning nap and even made it into her Easter dress! She loved all the gifts from the Easter bunny as well as those from family.
Tupperware party!
Again, the lesser of two evils-Tupperware or the canned food items. Lately she's been having more fun just emptying the cabinet and not necessarily playing with the items she is taking out. Sure it makes for a complete mess, but she's exploring and having fun so we'll deal with the mess (mom has an easier time than dad does dealing with it)!Tuesday, April 03, 2007
Visiting the Schwartz's
Poor boat

The story goes that this boat is stuck in the ice, just yards away from the harbor in Duluth. Now wouldn't that just suck? They say it's too expensive to pull it lose so they just wait for the wind to shift and set it free. Wouldn't you feel worthy...it's too expensive to get you to shore, so just sit there for a few weeks, we'll see you eventually.
Canal Park

We braved the cold and ventured into Canal Park in Duluth on Sunday morning. Yes, it was freezing, but we had to get at least a few pictures of Regan next to Lake Superior. Unfortunately the walk out to the lighthouse was still barricaded so it was a short walk (and for those of you that know the story, Ryan and I nearly got a ticket 8 years ago after we climbed over the barricade to get a better view of the lake! We didn't actually think we'd see a cop next to a frozen Lake Superior!). Family getaway to Duluth

We enjoyed a nice family getaway to Duluth last weekend. It was so nice to get away from home for a night and hang out in a hotel where we didn't have to clean up a thing! Our friends, Ryan and Kari hung out with us at the hotel and Regan just loved playing with Thomas, she was a bit jealous when I held Natalie, however. Unfortunately, Regan wasn't too crazy about swimming, that is, until Thomas went in. She still wasn't real sure about the "big bath-tub", but the peer pressure got to her and she at least went in without crying.Hockey games!

Regan got up close to the TV to watch the college hockey games with dad last month......ok, so maybe she was more interested in the book she slid next to the TV and could no longer reach! But it was a cute picture and the timing was perfect; just getting into the 3rd period (obviously!). By the way, the no clothes has to do with the fact that she has yet to let me get her dressed completely after a bath before rolling away and running out the door. I pick my battles, and that just isn't one of them!
