While mommy and daddy tried to enjoy the football game on Sunday (not so fun for Vikings' fans), Regan stayed home with Nana and Papa and learned two new words: "siren" and "thunder". She is on a "siren" kick ever since and enjoys making her version of the sound that goes with a police siren and it's pretty adorable to hear! She's working on her potty training skills too, all in all, she's gone 3 times on the potty this weekend. At this rate she will definately be poppy trained before she's potty trained! Fine with us, that's less mess to clean up :)

Success!
It's hard to see beyond the date on the picture, but yes, that is Regan standing next to her first poppy in the big girl chair! Now we know we take too many pictures, but this is a big step! Mommy didn't actually believe her when she got off the potty and said "poopy flush" since that is a common phrase for her. Much to her surprise, there really was poopy to flush! We're not getting too excited, potty training isn't really going anywhere fast. But eventually we all figure it out, right?

Here we go!
Regan has started asking to go "pee pee" or "poop" like a big girl! Since our bathroom is so tiny we don't have room for a potty chair her size; I'm hearing this is a good thing since it's pretty gross to empty. Today she agreed to sit on the potty and enjoyed reading a book and hanging out with mom. Dad had to capture how cute she looked sitting cross legged reading herself a story. Someday she won't like us for this picture!

Pumpkin patch!
On our way home from New Ulm Sunday we stopped at Emma Krumbee's to see the scarecrow contest, pumpkins, petting zoo and other fun fall activities. Regan was incredibly camera shy today so nearly every picture she turned away. Thankfully we got this one where she is sitting on top of a mound of pumpkins; you can tell she was in her glory.

Fall like days
We took advantage of the fall temperatures this weekend and headed outside with our sweaters to enjoy the sunshine. Regan continues to adore her playset in the backyard and has finally started to crawl through the bottom. It's fun to watch her as she figures out new things everyday. Unfortunately, she has also taken a few tumbles along the way. We do our best to clear a path for her as she runs around, but unfortunately, we can't keep her from being a toddler and actually running. Last night she fell over her own two feet and smushed her face right into the carpet-ouch! Literally two minutes later she was back up and running, in the exact same fashion as before she fell! Short-term memory issues?!

Go Vikes!
Regan slept through most of the first Vikings game, but that was ok with mom and dad because it gave us the opportunity to watch the entire game! She did manage to turn towards the tv and cheer along side mom and dad during a portion of the game; she didn't know what she was cheering for, but it was super cute!

Playing with Natalie
We were fortunate to get to babysit Natalie Schwartz last night and Regan sure enjoyed herself! Natalie was sleeping when she arrived and even though we placed her where Regan could see her from the dining table, Regan couldn't wait to get out of her chair to sit next to Natalie. It was adorable to watch Regan give her kisses and hand over toys all night long. And it was a good test for mommy and daddy as well, two kids aren't as easy as one (not that we think one is "easy")!

Nana and Regan
Everybody ready?
Lake Darling~Alexandria, MN
We spent Labor Day weekend on Lake Darling again this year and unlike the past 2 years, this year we actually got to spend every minute outside enjoying the gorgeous weather! Regan had a great time climbing around Grandpa's new boat and going for a ride. She took a nice snooze on her second boat ride, so calming (pictures of that yet to come). It must have been her pushing all those buttons that messed up the fish finder, no wonder we didn't catch any fish!
