And she's off..........finally!

Regan can crawl!! Yep, that's right, she actually walked before she learned how to crawl. Nothing like making things confusing! She isn't perfect at either one, so now the question is: will she end up walking, or find that crawling is easier? We've been working on both tasks with her the last few days so we'll see which one she picks up faster!

Christmas time!

Regan helped mom and dad last weekend pick out the perfect Christmas tree! We're happy we went when it was still 50F outside, instead of 20F!

Visit with Santa!!

We took Regan to see Santa at the mall last weekend! She didn't cry, but wasn't real sure of the man with a fuzzy face! This picture was absolutely precious. Next year I hope she can tell Santa what she wants for Christmas!

I'm busy!

Mom and dad caught Regan reading the paper last Friday! It was so adorable :) Unfortunately, her little fingers were full of black ink by the time she was finished!

Going for a ride!

Grandma Jan took Regan for her first wagon ride! Ok, so this wagon might be more on the "doll-size" end of things, but Regan didn't seem to mind!

My new rocking chair

Grandma Jan found this rocking chair in the basement from when mom was a little girl. It's going to be the perfect spot for reading stories!

Thanksgiving fun and our independent walker!!

Grandpa Leo took Regan for a walk around the house on Thanksgiving and somehow managed to get his arms all tangled up! She was in her glory despite grandpa's discomfort!

Regan also took her first steps alone on Thanksgiving! She was walking around with mom's help and suddenly found herself 3 steps away from mom without holding on! We were so proud of her. Can't wait for her to start walking more on her own (or can I?).

Stuck in the bucket!

Mom and dad had some fun playing with Regan the other day! She was so curious about this bucket we figured she might as well take a seat :) It was a tigh squeeze and not real easy to pull her out!

Regan and Uncle Shane

Mom and dad went on a well-deserved date night this weekend and Regan got to hang out with uncle Shane and aunt Amy for a few hours! By the looks of the pictures, we think they all had a great time!

9 months old today!

Regan is 9 months old today and still making us laugh everyday! She gives us big smiles every morning and it brightens the whole house. She still loves to walk around holding someone's hands and refuses to learn how to crawl; it's surprising that other crawling babies don't even phase her. Once she's up on her feet though, look out, her face lights up and she's off motoring around the house! We're really looking forward to the holidays this year, hopefully everyone's Christmas tree will stay in one piece!

Heirloom sweater

Grandpa Leo wore this sweater 56 years ago when he was just a little tyke himself! It fits Regan perfect, and she posed so nice for the camera!

Bad hair day

Regan had a little bit of a messy hair do after her nap the other day! We couldn't pass up the opportunity to catch this face on camera; obviously she wasn't happy with her picture being taken with bad hair!

Amanda's baby shower

Jen and I hosted a baby shower for Amanda today and the kids had lots of fun playing together! Jen's son, Nathan is a crawling machine (so Regan took a few notes) and Regan can walk all over with a little help (so Nathan took a few notes). Someday they'll both be running around and we'll wish they would sit still!

First shoulder ride!

Regan had her first shoulder ride last week and had the time of her life!

Two Halloween outfits for Regan's first Halloween! What to do you do but split the day in half and wear both of them! She's just adorable and loves to smile for the camera lately! No trick-or-treating this year, but we'll be handing out candy to those that brave the cold tonight!

House projects

tile and the finished product looks great!

Messy girl!

Meal times have become increasingly messy lately! Today she learned the game "uh-oh" and will drop her spoon on the floor repeatedly throughout her meal, only to wait for mom give it back to her :) As you can see, she now likes green veggies! It only took her 3 months to warm up to them, and they still aren't her favorite.

Look at my motorcycle hat!

Great Uncle Mike gave Regan her very fist motorcycle hat when she was born and it almost fits her now :) Next summer she'll be ready for a ride (or maybe just a seat!).

8 months old!

Seems unbelievable that Regan is 8 months old already! We are constantly reflecting at how much she's grown and changed since February.

No crawling or scooting yet, but she'll flip over when we aren't looking! She's been eating baby food like it's going out of style and has tried some "real" food too (banana bread, crackers, cheese, and even a french fry!).

So precious

Despite feeling a little under the weather, Regan's hanging in there. She sat in this chair in her room and was quite interested in the leaves blowing around in the yard outside.

Yuck!

Daddy got spit on! Ryan thought he'd play a little with Regan after her bottle.....not a good idea! She spit right down the side of his face and he swore it was going into his ear! Gross!

Fall photo shoot

We held a fall photo shoot in the front yard yesterday with the only leaves we have on our grass. There wasn't much, but we had a good time :) Aside from Regan tasting the leaves, all went well!

Regan and Nathan

Regan got to see Nathan Allen again last weekend (their birthdays are only one week apart). She was so serious in this picture...refusing to give mom a smile. Unfortunately they weren't able to play with each other because of the cold season; maybe next time!

What a week!

I think they found her! This has been quite the week! Not only did Regan get her first tooth on 9/24, but her second one appeared just one day later! She also learned what "up" means and will now hold her arms out to be picked up, just too cute! Then Grandma Sheri babysat yesterday as daycare had to close for a sick child; I know they both enjoyed spending the day together!

First tooth!!

No picture, just an update....Regan's first tooth appeared yesterday afternoon! Now we know why she wasn't napping all weekend and not her usual self. Other than a low-grade temp last evening, she was happy as can be chewing on everything :)

7 months old!

It's just amazing that 7 months has gone by already! We took advantage of the last few days of summer-like weather and changed her clothes 3 times on Friday and twice on Saturday just to get more use out of her cute summer clothes! She got up on all-fours yesterday for the first time, now we have to work on the "rocking" motion :)

Regan loves her toes!

There is a new fascination with toes now! Last month, Regan managed to find her toes, and just recently, they've made their way all the way into her mouth! It's so funny to watch her and anytime she spots her toes, she wants at them! At the time of this picture, she was hanging out on mom and dad's bed and couldn't resist the urge to grab them!

Labor Day weekend at the lake!

Labor Day weekend was spent on Lake Darling with lots of family! Although it was cold, we managed to have a good time and Regan loved gazing at the lake. We fed the ducks and she experienced her first bonfire!! Too bad she couldn't have a s'more!

With the end of the pre-season and start of the regular season upon us, Regan got prepared by dressing in her favorite Vikings outfit! If she's anything like her mother, she'll be their biggest fan (despite their latest issues with the law)!!
