What a week!

Nike called, they were looking for a new model,

I think they found her! This has been quite the week! Not only did Regan get her first tooth on 9/24, but her second one appeared just one day later! She also learned what "up" means and will now hold her arms out to be picked up, just too cute! Then Grandma Sheri babysat yesterday as daycare had to close for a sick child; I know they both enjoyed spending the day together!

First tooth!!

No picture, just an update....Regan's first tooth appeared yesterday afternoon! Now we know why she wasn't napping all weekend and not her usual self. Other than a low-grade temp last evening, she was happy as can be chewing on everything :)

7 months old!

It's just amazing that 7 months has gone by already! We took advantage of the last few days of summer-like weather and changed her clothes 3 times on Friday and twice on Saturday just to get more use out of her cute summer clothes! She got up on all-fours yesterday for the first time, now we have to work on the "rocking" motion :)

Here are a few photos of Regan from day care. We send along a disposable camera and here are the results :) Looks like she's a happy girl! Here's the story behind the picture on the right: she loves to play with her pacifier and one day it landed on her nose and she couldn't find it!!

Regan loves her toes!

There is a new fascination with toes now! Last month, Regan managed to find her toes, and just recently, they've made their way all the way into her mouth! It's so funny to watch her and anytime she spots her toes, she wants at them! At the time of this picture, she was hanging out on mom and dad's bed and couldn't resist the urge to grab them!

Labor Day weekend at the lake!

Labor Day weekend was spent on Lake Darling with lots of family! Although it was cold, we managed to have a good time and Regan loved gazing at the lake. We fed the ducks and she experienced her first bonfire!! Too bad she couldn't have a s'more!

GO VIKES!!!

With the end of the pre-season and start of the regular season upon us, Regan got prepared by dressing in her favorite Vikings outfit! If she's anything like her mother, she'll be their biggest fan (despite their latest issues with the law)!!

Happy Anniversary!!

Mom and dad celebrated their 2nd anniversary on August 21st! Mom thought it was cute for Regan to pose for the picture this year instead!

Regan meets mom's college friends!

Last weekend we headed out to Elk River (aka: middle of nowhere, MN) for an end of the summer party! Regan got to meet some of mom's college friends and enjoyed all the attention she got!

Trip to the "great Minnesota get together"

Regan made her first trip to the Minnesota State Fair on August 25th. She slept through most of the day, but woke up enough to see what the state fair was all about!

Time with daddy

Regan gave dad the cutest face as he sat and ate lunch with her, we wanted so badly to give her a bit of something more exciting than pureed pears! Dad and Regan danced to a song later that night, and she was in her glory!!

This crib is a joke!

Regan has yet to actually sleep in her crib :) Although she's no longer sleeping in mom and dad's bed, she just laughs when we put her in her own crib. So for now, it's the pack n play. But at least she's sleeping!

The piggy says "oink"!

....or in this case, it vibrates too! Regan gets a kick out of her vibrating oinking pig. She sits so well that we have a hard time giving her tummy time lately. She loves to play with all of her toys.

Six months old!!!

Regan is 6 months old now!! If the next 6 months go as fast as these first 6 months did, she's going to be a year old before we know it! She's such a joy to us and we continue to learn something new everyday (for instance, we learned this week that she likes to fake cough to get attention!). What a sweetheart!

Sunday mornings with mom

Regan likes to sit and read the Sunday flyers with mom; guess we have another shopper in the family! She helps turn the pages but also likes to try and eat them!

Love that dress!

Regan got a new dress from grandma Sheri and it's just adorable on her :) She likes to sit in her glider and have her picture taken! It's so cute, she instantly will smile when mom puts her in the glider; guess she knows it's picture time!

Regan can sit unsupported!

Regan started sitting alone on July 26th but has perfected this task and can now play for about 3-5 minutes while sitting! She loves this new view of the world but occassionally takes a topple to the side so mom and dad are never very far away!

Busy playing

Regan loves to play in the activity center! She's getting good at pushing all the buttons (although occassionally still likes to push them with her forehead!). She can scoot aka: walk, herself around the table too, but it might take a few minutes.

Found her toes

Regan has found her toes and ever since, has realized it's more fun to play with her toes than take a nap!

Mama's little helper

Regan helped mom out this weekend with the laundry! Ok, so she more or less played in the basket while mom did laundry, but she was happy!!

Oh, so tired!

Regan was exhausted at the end of a long day playing! She actually fell asleep in dad's arms, and for those of you that know Regan, know that this isn't like her! He was in heaven being able to hold her and just watch TV!

First meal!

Regan got her first meal of sweet potatoes this week! She made some interesting faces and we thought she was going to jump out of her chair at one point because she was jumping around with each bite (we think out of disgust!). She's doing better with it now and getting used to those funny tastes! Next week we'll try a new meal!

100 degrees!

The recent 100 degree temps had us staying cool inside for most of last weekend! We did get a chance to test out Regan's new pool in the backyard, but it was hard just to breathe outside!

Happy girl :)

Regan has been a very happy girl lately! She smiles whenever someone talks to her or even looks at her :) She's been laughing a lot too. She thought this hat was pretty funny to wear and mom got some good giggles out of her on Monday!

Bath time!!

Regan had a bath at Grandma Sheri's house last weekend in her big girl bath chair! She liked sitting up, but mom found it harder to wash those chubby legs!

A trip to New Ulm and Bavarian Blast

New Ulm held it's very first Bavarian Blast and Regan was there to see it all unfold! Though it was a little steamy, it was fun dancing to the polka music!
Although she looks a bit grumpy in this picture, she really was a happy camper the whole day!

Regan rolls over

Yesterday was a big day for Regan; she finally rolled over! We are so proud of her :) She went from her tummy (like in this picture) to her back. She managed to do it a total of 6 times! We clapped and cheered when she finished and she just looked at us with her silly smile! Let's hope she remembers how to roll over and continues to do it!

5 months!

Regan turned 5 months on Saturday. She weighs around 16 lbs and is about 27 inches long! She's pretty tall for her age....we're not real certain where that comes from?! Currently she's learning how to sit unassisted and is getting better at pushing up with her arms during the dreadful "tummy time". She'd prefer to stand holding onto mom's finger than lay on her tummy! She's so interactive and we often just sit and stare at each other exchanging giggles!

Swimming!

Thank goodness for softball tournaments and swimming pools! Regan and mom ventured into a hotel swimming pool for the 2nd time this weekend between softball games (it was 100F outside so the pool felt great!). Regan had fun swimming with her cousins Logan and Hunter Ahlness.

New PJ's

Regan now fits into her 6 month clothes and it has opened up a lot of doors in terms of her wardrobe! Here are her newest pj's, which are just too cute!

July 13th

It's been a fun week! Regan will be 5 months old on Saturday, I can't belive how fast time flies. Regan continues to eat rice cereal everyday and seems to enjoy it! She gives us lots of smiles and loves to talk. The best is when we put the cereal into her mouth and she decides it's time to talk. I guess she hasn't mastered the rule 'no talking with food in your mouth'.
